You're a designer and I'm a web developer. You're an art director and I'm a copywriter. You're an account guy and I'm a brand manager. This Meet Up presents an opportunity for us to trade our services with other professionals. As independents, we seldom have enough money to market ourselves properly. Most of our promotions emphasize our specific craft, but limit us from presenting our true talent that is the big idea/concept. By collaborating with other like-minded and talented individuals, we can better advertise ourselves while improving our portfolio - our brand. The end result is a better personal brand and increased income.
